Disintegrate

Disintegrate makes a clip look like it is constantly coming apart at the edges. It finds the high-contrast lines in the picture and lets them shed soft glowing grains that drift outward and fade, on a loop, so the image reads as forever breaking apart while the frame underneath never disappears.

Tips

Start from a preset: Ash for a soft grey drift, Embers for warm orange, Sparks for fast bright flecks, Sandstorm for a dense colour storm.
Raise Edge Sensitivity to pull grains from softer detail, lower it to keep only the strongest lines shedding.
Density controls how many emitters fire, Spread how wide they scatter off each edge.
Keep Drift Speed low for a slow smoulder, push it for flying sparks.
