3D Text: Chrome, Gold, and Metal Titles

The 3D Text tool renders shiny metallic three-dimensional titles directly over your video. Type your text, pick a finish, set the motion, and export a composited MP4. No title sequence software, no separate render pass.

What you get

A metallic three-dimensional title composited on top of your footage. The Chrome finish gives a mirror-reflective surface that picks up the surrounding environment. Gold gives a warm reflective sheen you see on luxury and artist cards. Brushed Metal gives a matte-directional surface with visible grain, closer to industrial or architectural type treatments. Motion brings the title in and out of the frame with movement that matches the weight of a physical object.

When to reach for it

How to use it

Step 1: Upload your clip and type your text

Open 3D Text and drop in your video. Type the text you want rendered: artist name, track title, single line or stacked. The title appears over your footage in the preview.

Step 2: Choose a finish preset

The three finish presets change the surface material:

Step 3: Set the motion

The motion controls determine how the text enters and exits the frame. Adjust the speed and direction to match the pacing of your edit. A slow drift reads as premium and measured; a faster move lands harder on a beat.

Step 4: Position the title

Drag the title to position it in the frame. Lower-third placement reads as a standard name card. Center or upper placement reads as a title card or main-event announcement.

Step 5: Export

Click Export MP4 to render the composited result. The title is baked into the video, ready to post or bring into an NLE for further editing.

FAQ

Can I put more than one line of text?

Yes. Enter your text with line breaks and the title renders as a stacked block. Artist name on the first line, track title on the second is the standard card layout.

Which finish reads best on bright footage?

Brushed Metal reads best on very bright footage because it does not reflect as much and gives the type more definition. Chrome and Gold can blend into overexposed highlights, so either reduce the exposure in the clip or use Brushed Metal in those situations.

Can I use it on a still image instead of video?

The tool is designed for video clips. For stills, bring the image into the Photo Editor first and use the text tools there.
